The National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) Tutor Award was created to recognise that just because one can personally navigate, it doesn’t follow that one can teach it. On this one day course, you’ll look at different methods for teaching navigation to beginners from simple games to learning strategies. (1 CPD point)
The Level 1 Award in Awareness of Safeguarding qualification is regulated by Ofqual and gives you the knowledge to identify a safeguarding concern, record a disclosure and report to the appropriate person. The course is perfect for anyone working in the outdoors whether you regularly work alongside children, young people or adults at risk or just for your own Continuing Personal/Professional Development. Our comprehensive two-day (16 hour) outdoor first aid qualification will provide you with the skills and knowledge to respond to a range of emergency outdoor situations. Based in Eryri (Snowdonia), North Wales, you’ll learn about when and how to move a casualty, how to deal with major illnesses and injuries, administering CPR and managing someone who is unresponsive.
The NNAS Tutor Award is a 1 day (8 hour) course for anyone who wants to teach the NNAS Navigator Awards. It can also be useful to those working towards leadership qualifications such as the Lowland Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader or Mountain Leader.
Our Safeguarding for Outdoor Instructors course will provide you with an understanding of this essential topic which can be used in your workplace, activity group or any instance where you might come into contact with children, young people or adults at risk.
