COVID-19 is still with us and affecting the day-to-day lives of people in Wales however we’re working hard to keep going with a few small changes to how we work. We’re following the latest COVID-19 advice from the UK and Welsh Governments as well as our national governing bodies, the British Mountaineering Council and Mountain Training.

What we’re doing differently:

  • All of our operations are currently held outdoors where maintaining social distancing is relatively easy. Our instructors and guides will brief clients before the activity starts reminding everyone to maintain 2m distance from others outside of their own family group or bubble.
  • There’s currently no requirement to wear face coverings outdoors but it may be useful to have one with you.
  • Clients are asked to bring personal hand sanitiser with them and will be reminded to use it throughout the activity.
  • Anyone exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, anyone who is self-isolating or anyone at any risk of passing on COVID-19 to others should not take part in any of our activities. If this becomes the case and you’re unable to take part in your booked activity, please contact us urgently where you’ll be offered the chance to rebook, receive a gift card to book another activity or accept a full refund.

MountainXperience has achieved the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry standard mark by Visit Britain and the World Travel & Tourism Council ‘Safe Travels’ stamp. These two schemes are designed to provide a ‘ring of confidence’ for all sectors of the tourism industry, as well as reassurance to visitors that businesses have clear processes in place and are following industry and Government COVID-19 guidance on cleanliness and social distancing.
