All about us
Simon (that's him in the red jacket and green hat) set up MountainXperience to give everybody the opportunity to explore the hills and mountains of the UK. Since his first outdoor adventure with Cubs he's gone on to explore the world climbing mountains on four continents. Simon has spent many years visiting the Snowdonia National Park and is now excited to call it home.
In recent years Simon has worked for a large outdoor charity with responsibility for the training and wellbeing of its volunteers and as Chief Operating Officer of an adventure travel company developing new and exciting holidays for its clients all alongside running his own IT business for over twenty years. He's very pleased that he's now able to spend much of his time enjoying the outdoors himself. MountainXperience was born out of Simon's love of the outdoors and his ambition to share it with others. Simon is a keen mountaineer and holds numerous outdoor qualifications including Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Instructor, Gold NNAS Award and NNAS Tutor Award. as well as a number of watersports qualifications including 4* Touring Leader and Level Two Paddlesports Coach. Simon is a member of the British Mountaineering Council, Mountain Training Association and Canoe Wales. Whilst the current focus of MountainXperience is on offering guided climbs of Snowdon and Tryfan and navigation training courses we're able to help with any mountaineering or paddlesports activity anywhere in the UK and Ireland.
