Nick has a very important job at MountainXperience. As a holder of the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor (MCI) qualification, Nick is a highly qualified mountaineer. He acts as our technical advisor ensuring that the best possible standards of practice are being met by us as a business and by our individual guides. He signs off our risk assessments and performs regular monitoring of our processes to make sure we’re operating safely.

Nick works full time as an outdoor instructor and you will most often see him out with his dog Peris on the hills and lakes around Eryri (Snowdonia) and very occasionally on Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon). He’s a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and holds numerous mountaineering, climbing and paddlesports qualifications. Nick also runs his own expedition company, Pride Expeditions, offering LGBTQ+ friendly adventure holidays around the world.

Like many of our team, Nick gives up his free time to help others and is an active member of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team and volunteer leader and technical advisor for one of the largest LGBTQ+ charities in the country, OutdoorLads.
